Most online students want to know a few things about their teachers.
What do they look like?
Are they qualified to teach?
What is their background?
What is their testimony?
The answers to all of these questions can be found in My Instructor Page in Brightspace. Absent these answers, many students are challenged to make a personal connection with their instructor.
Since 2015, FacultyCare has been observing faculty activity in their courses. The first observation criteria determines whether an instructor page has been fully completed. The video screencast below depicts step-by-step instructions designed to assist faculty and encourage them to exceed expectations as they serve students in the learning environment.
Question: How does a complete instructor page help you better connect with your students? Please leave a comment below.
