The connection between our Christian faith and the secular world of ideas occurs in one of three primary modes:
Where Christian beliefs enhance secular ideas,
Where secular ideas enrich our understanding of the Christian faith, and, most challenging,
Where Christian and secular perspectives stand in tension, even in sharp conflict, with each other.
In the second of this four-part series, Dr. Bud Bence, Professor Emeritus at Indiana Wesleyan University, plumbs the richness of integrating faith in the learning environment. Grounded in a lifetime of Christ-centered teaching and learning and filled with a distinctive passion for his content, absorb Dr. Bence's mind and heart thinking about this vital component of teaching in a culture often devoid of a Christian worldview.
